Introducing

annaglevy :)

Anna Levy is a New York City based artist, art educator, illustrator, and storyteller.

As a beloved instructor with The Art Studio NY in Manhattan for over four years, Anna inspires students of all ages and experience levels to let go of perfectionism and embrace their inner artist. Anna’s professional background spans fine art, illustration, art administration, and research, and she has held leadership roles in both in-person and online artist communities, where she helps creatives connect with one another and gain access to meaningful opportunities.

Her personal artwork is multidisciplinary and expressive, often featuring bold outlines, vibrant color palettes, and imaginative subject matter. She has a particular love for painting, whether watercolor, oil, or acrylic, and can happily spend hours discussing the art of drawing from life. Her work blends realism and surrealism through nuanced shadows, detailed observation, and unexpected juxtapositions, resulting in pieces that feel both familiar and intriguingly otherworldly.

Anna earned her BA in Art Studio from Tulane University and will soon receive her MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia. Her achievements include multiple illustration awards, a published graphic novel, and an ongoing children’s book titled “A is for Alligators with Defibrillators” slated for release in 2026.
